IRRCi was established with the proceeds from the sale of the Investor Responsibility Research Center to Institutional Shareholder Services (now known as MSCI) in 2006. The predecessor organization was founded in 1972 and evolved into a leading source of high quality, impartial information on corporate governance and social responsibility.
Historically, the Center provided proxy research and analysis, benchmarking products, and proxy voting services to institutional investors, corporations, law firms, foundations, academics, and other organizations.
Today, IRRCi builds on that rich history and continues the legacy of high quality, unbiased research. Our research is a tool for investors, policymakers, and interested stakeholders to make informed, fact-based decisions. Ultimately, this enables individuals and organizations to better manage risk and opportunities for the long-term health of the economy and society as a whole.
